Only just found out that the brilliant Pete and the Pirates have recently split up, and this is the new incarnation; Teleman! Has the recognizable vocals of the Pirates frontman, but with a more somber sound, incorporating more synth than we are used to with these guys. Still sounds brilliant though, singles out in the new year on Moshi Moshi.

Brilliant album, great progression from their first showing the bands ability to diversify from straight up, three chord rock and roll (not that there’s anything wrong with that, as their debut showed!)
Its taken me since April to get used to the scuzzy vocals, but really getting into Howler now
